Practice Makes PerfectThe arena was gorgeous at night, and Korra didn't know if she'd ever get used to the sight of it.

She had been tossing and turning in her bed unable to sleep for over an hour and had finally given up. Now she sat in her room, elbows propped up on her windowsill, staring at the arena, trying to relax. She wanted this constant irritation and doubt that had plagued her all day to just go away, but even the beauty of the arena's lights sparkling off the water didn't seem to be helping her forget her troubles.

It had been another rough day of training with Tenzin and the kids.

Korra'd confessed her feelings towards him after their last match, and he'd shot her down flat without giving himself a chance to really think about the situation. Now he was sure he'd never forget the way her face had fallen, the heartbreak that she'd tried to hide swimming in her ocean eyes — not for as long as he lived.

HarmonyThe rain beat down on the earth in an almost rhythmic fashion, turning the grassy expanses of the park into mud. What had started as a warm, spring morning had suddenly changed to a cold, rainy afternoon in less than a heartbeat.

Korra looked up towards the sky, closing one eye and squinting the other as the water fell down onto her face. Even as a water bender, Korra had no particular feelings towards the rain, but she wasn't sure that she enjoyed it interrupting her walk.

Makorra - AnnoyanceMako was about ready to rip his hair out.

He'd just come from a rather taxing session of Pro-Bending training with his teammates, and as usual, his mood had turned sour from the moment he'd walked into the gym. It wasn't the fact they had to practice at the crack of dawn because they were rookies that bothered him, nor was it the pressure of the championships hanging over their heads.

No, it was the newest member of the Fire Ferrets that'd been getting under his skin lately, one Avatar Korra.

Now, there were several things that tweaked Mako's nerves, but this girl trumped them all. He'd never met someone quite like her before, so brash

The Rabbiroos' firebender was actually putting up a fight. He was a really good pro-bender. Not as good as Mako, but definitely more of a challenge than his thin, wiry appearance had led Korra to believe.

She was stuck against the railing in Zone Three as he fought against her, hurling blasts of bright fire her way in rapid succession. It was taking nearly all of her energy to draw up water from the grate in front of her to lash away the attacks. He was bending too fast for her to get an attack in herself. She whizzed past blurs of light, reaching out for somebody, something, nobody at all. Stars. Darkness seeped everywhere, into everything. She cried out but her voice was smothered by the cosmos as she tumbled down, through, into.

Her descent slowed, and her body righted itself, toes making contact with some kind of surface. It was invisible. All was stars and all was dark. She breathed in the colors, heard the shine, tasted home. She looked up and saw herself, huge and beautiful and terrifying, eyes glowing white, brighter than any sun.

Btw I feel bad for Mako.. he is a firebender but his parents killed by firebender. What an irony..
But I was a bit confuse. Is fire nation still jerk although after Zuko become a fire lord? Well I mean,why they are still terrorized the citizens? (Amon's family and Mako's).

I enjoyed this episode immensely! :iconilavplz:

The storyline felt similar to how one would feel watching ATLA S2, very good pacing. :excited:

I'm curious as to how suddenly Lightening Bending is so easy for Firbenders to do? Didn't it use to be really rare for Firebenders to do?
Like it was something "amazing" that Azula could do it at her age? Why is it now as easy as tying shoelaces? :iconconfuzzledplz:

The suspense was killing me when I wanted to know what Amon was going to reveal, and when he did I was like :iconjawdropplz:
Cliffhanger was a dramatic cliffhanger.

The Makorra moments were sooo sweet! :iconilavplz: Did anyone else feel like earthbend smacking Ikki when she was being nosey? I know I did. :XD:

Plus, I notice how Mako's story felt like he was the new :iconbatsignalplz: ............:iconhurrhurrplz:

You know it's those tiny details in the episode that count (sometimes)...
1. Zuko's statue. Honestly, I had to double-check to see if it really were Zuko. It could mean something, that Bolin's favourite place is that area.
2. The number of times Korra and Mako look at each other during Amon's speech... Hmm... :iconiloveitplz:
3. Mako smiles when Korra calls him "City Boy" uhuh :iconpatricklaughplz:
4. Mako is such a dork! Aside from him being smart, he decides to be all sneaky :lol:
5. A new handshake, eh?

I also thought Korra could airbend already, but it probably was just water and steam...

OMFG. MAKORRA SO DAMN CUTE.

My prediction for the series... (but this is unrelated to makorra...)

i think amon has to be someone that we somehow already know, and not just some random stranger who hates bending. i'm not saying its like zuko or sokka or anyone from the orginal aang gang, cuz they're probably all dead, but someone who's already established in the series, and is already related to one of the characters, but the latter wouldnt know since amon wears a mask and stuff. i think that amon is tenzin's brother.

yes amon said that his family was nonbenders, but think about it. he's the leader of an extremely powerful revolution group and him making up a story about how his family/face died because of benders will get more sympathy and empathy from other people and make him thus more powerful. giving himself a sob story is the perfect way to become the ideal I-HATE-BENDING-WITH-A-BURNING-PASSION leader.

and i think that bumi would fit the part of a person who hates benders perfectly. because he is the only nonbender out of aang's kids. think about if you were bumi. Your sister's a waterbender. Your mom's a water bender. Your dad is the FREAKING AVATAR. Your little brother is being considered more important than you so yeah... i would feel bitter and evil too.

OMG this actually makes so much sense! Like Bumi was always the odd-one-out, and never felt really special, just abandoned since he wasn't a bender, so he wanted revenge on all the benders! Only he wouldn't really get anywhere with a story like that, so in order to get more sympathy, he told a sob story similar to most bender-haters- "I had a happy life but my family was killed by evil people and they scarred me forever!"
And yeah, I totally hope that it's actually Bumi behind the mask....I wonder what he looks like now.....
